Before entering private practice, Mitchell built extensive courtroom experience as a prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in Dallas, TX. As a Prosecutor, he managed large dockets, tried serious felony and misdemeanor offenses, questioned civilian and expert witnesses, negotiated plea agreements, and handled a wide range of cases. He also guided victims through the criminal‑justice process, working to promote safety and transparency at every stage.
Mitchell earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he received the Dean’s Scholarship and competed on the San Diego Defense Lawyers Mock Trial Team.
Before pursuing law, Mitchell played college soccer at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, and Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. His collegiate athletic career strengthened his teamwork, work ethic, and perseverance—traits he brings to each and every case he handles.
